About Crocus

Founded in 2000 by Mark Fane and Peter Clay, Crocus is recognised as a key supplier to exhibits at Chelsea Flower Show. Mark Fane is a trustee of the RHS and Chairman of the Garden Museum.

The company slogan is “Where Top Designers Get Their Plants”. It has recently become a sponsor of the National Gardens Scheme and According to the Which? survey in 2012 of mail order plant retailers Crocus came third with an impressive customer score of 81/100.

Crocus stocks around 6500 plants, but also has a selection of garden products, chemicals and tools. Browse your way through the kitchen garden selection which is helpfully segmented into “By Sowing Month Inside”, “By Sowing Month Outside” and “Harvesting Month”. April has the largest number of options with 145 that can be sown outside. November is the quietest month with only 2 varieties of broad bean that can be left outside to germinate.

Dorney Court, set in the grounds of Dorney Court Estate is the home of Crocus and is located midway between Slough and Maidenhead. It is still open for customers but there is social distancing. Just follow the one way system if you visit and remember to keep 2m social distance.

How to use a Crocus discount code

The Crocus Club is offering monthly care tips and invitations to open days , and previews on January and August sales. Delivery is £1.00 for seeds and £2.99 for bulbs. For all other orders it is £4.99.

You have the option of buying gift vouchers which can be redeemed online. Ideal for a family Christmas present that has been left to the last minute. The vouchers are available in denominations of £10, £25, £50, £75 and £100. Just let Crocus know the email address of the recipient  with a little message and the lucky receiver will get an email with the gift voucher(s). They are valid for 12 months from the date of ordering.
